1. Flights to Europe from B7,999 with Eurowings 

Lufthansa’s long-haul low-cost airline just re-launched to connect travelers between Thailand and Germany. The no-frills carrier’s Airbus A330 offers twice-weekly non-stop flights from its Cologne base to Bangkok and Phuket. There are three travel classes: Best, Smart and Basic. One-way tickets are advertised starting at 199 euros (B7,800) for the latter—pretty impressive, just bear in mind that doesn’t include any checked-in luggage or in-flight services. After testing out some bookings, we actually found that price—but do note, we also spotted some as high as those from the big airlines. From Cologne, you can connect with destinations all around Europe.

2. Direct return flights to London for B25,145 with British Airways

Props to the British Airways website’s low-price finder for pointing us directly to the discounts. In Jun-Jul the lowest prices currently being advertised for the Bangkok-London route are B7,000 return—of course, with taxes and whatnot that comes out to B25,145. Still, that’s pretty darn good for a direct flight, and it includes 23kg check-in luggage, in-flight entertainment, three-course meal and drinks—and, all importantly, no stopovers.     

3. Bangkok-Hanoi for almost B3,000 with Vietnam Airlines

There’s never been a cheaper time to fly to Japan. But it’s not just low-cost carriers like Jetstar, or NokScoot (who recently launched a Bangkok-Osaka route) offering cut-price deals. Vietnam Airlines, a SkyTeam member, seems to have perpetual sales on flights to Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese destinations. The latest booking period runs till the end of March, with flights to Tokyo (connecting in Ho Chi Minh City) still available at under B12,000. There are also current promos from Bangkok to Hanoi and HCM from little over B3,000—from there, you can fly to many cities around the region for less or even pick up some dirt-cheap business-class flights to Europe. Pro tip: You'll also notice big price differences on American carriers: flying Hanoi to New York (via Bangkok, ironically) can often be much cheaper than flying Bangkok-New York.
