This office-worker favorite just underwent a major renovation, filling every nook and cranny of its limited space with lab-inspired paraphernalia, newly-launched toiletries and homecare products, plus even more of their minimal-styled stationery. Don’t worry, it hasn't lost any of its coziness. Opposite the shop’s snacks-and-drinks corner, they've even added a book wall that stocks various interesting titles.

Anan Cafe
Tucked away in a little block between Soi Saladaeng and Silom Complex mall for over three years, this cafe just expanded with a new section for dining. The budget-friendly spot, which sources its beans from Northern Thailand, offers a classic coffee menu with a few different signature drinks like banana mocha and banana chip mocha. The newly opened restaurant section next door serves a basic selection of Thai a la carte dishes starting from B55. As it's targeted at Silom office workers, Anan Cafe only opens on weekdays.

Brother’s Bar N' Restaurant
Located on the second and third floor of the colorful three-story building that also houses Indies Kitchen and Jimjoom Jomyut, Brother’s Bar N’ Restaurant comprises both outdoor, where you can catch a low-key view of Silom’s cityscape, and indoor zones. Open almost around the clock, the day starts with breakfast sets and snacks (we recommend the deep-fried pork toast, B135), but we think the place is best suited to after-work drinks. In a part of town still light on craft brews, Brother's serves top-shelf beers like Japan’s Hitachino Nest Beer and a range of Brothers ciders. Inside, there's also a stage where you can catch live music--and even take the microphone yourself.

Nestled on the way between Karmakamet and Carl’s Jr. on Thaniya, this retro-styled shop is the new spot for street barber Khun Yo. It's open from 5pm to 4am and any rockabilly style will set you back B200: no shampoo, just cut, razor, set and dry. You're welcome to have Khun Yo design your look or choose from the shop’s visual classic and signature haircut menu. Reservations are recommended as there are only two seats and two barbers. Feel like just walking in? Come around after sunset and enjoy a round of Khun Simon’s tarot readings (B299) while the barbers have their hands full.

Future Ink Tattoo
Located near Foodland in the less-than-salubrious Patpong Soi 2, Future Ink Tattoo is a new tattoo studio from KMITL fine art graduate, Amarit “Nay” Vandee. Nay specializes in old-school, Thai and Japanese designs, with prices starting at B1,500 for a small font job and B5,000 for a palm-sized graphic. Customers can choose a pattern from the menu or have Nay sketch it out. Although walk-ins are welcome, reservations are recommended. Nay, himself, is only at the shop on weekdays from around 7pm onwards.
