She’s hot, she’s independent, she’s successful, she’s 30-something and she’s single. More and more of us are embracing the trend of being single for longer. After all, it comes with plenty of benefits: unlimited freedom, no strings attached relationships, more fun, greater variety and more me-time. It is a wonderful state of independence. We celebrate this new breed of women, who are turning Bangkok into their very own Sex and the City reality, with our perfect girly day out.
After a hard week at work there’s nothing better than a good gossip session with the girls over brunch. Good service, sophisticated ambience and of course plenty of sweet treats are all essential to make this the ideal way to start off the weekend.

Adisak Rojsiriphan, lifestyle consultant at Gaysorn Shopping Center and the designer of Zenithorial gives us some essential tips on looking good—whatever the situation.
At Work
For office ladies, the look should be sophisticated yet sexy. Something along the lines of sharp dresses, stylish suits and formal shoes. For example take a suit by Max Mara, then add a pearl necklace, a crisp white shirt underneath, a crocodile skin watch and one elegant ring. To complete the professional look, opt for a leather briefcase.
A Relaxed Shopping Day
If you go shopping after work, simply take your suit off and go with what’s underneath. Say, a nice tailored shirt or a girlie blouse. The good thing is this can also go with a pair of slacks or a detailed skirt that is not too casual. It’s a look that works well for weekends but still speaks of elegance.
A Night Out
Nowadays, women tend to reveal a little too much of themselves, but at least they are more fashionable than they used to be. If you are really fabulous, dress up in a cocktail dress, a glam cocktail top or even a funkier outfit. Play around and add to the look with accessories and a bag.
First Date
You definitely want to be a bit sexy but not down right seductive or slutty. A good way to get around this is a hint of formality to show you’re in control. Try a soft fabric shirt, like satin or chiffon and a pencil skirt that has a slit up to the thighs just to get him thinking about what he could be getting.
How to make sure you pick the right make-up colors to match your skin.
Skin
The key is to first work out your skin tone color.
Top tip: check the inside of your wrist against our color chart to determine your natural skin tone.
Now that you know your tone, you can work out the best colors of make up to use.
How to find the right hairstyle to flatter your face shape.
Oval
Slightly wider at the cheekbones than the forehead and jaw-line, it’s considered to be the ideal shape. Lucky you, all hairstyles complement this face type.
Celeb Watch: Angelina Jolie
■ Square
Wide forehead and wide jaw-line. If your face is narrow, it appears rectangular. If your face is wide, it appears square. Opt for a style that adds height to the top and length and low volume to the sides. You can also add bangs, as well as inward curls at the jaw-line, to soften the corners of the face.
Celeb Watch: Jessica Simpson
▼ Triangle
A narrow forehead or a wide jaw-line. Go for short and voluminous styles such as a layered cut with lots of curls to balance out the shape.
Celeb Watch: Halle Berry
♥ Heart Shaped
A wide forehead and a narrow chin and jaw-line. An ideal style is a blunt cut with bangs that falls just below the chin.
Celeb Watch: Cameron Diaz
● Round
A face without sharp angles, wide at the cheeks and with soft corners along the jaw-line and forehead. A layered style with lots of lift on the top and little volume on the sides will add height and make the face appear longer.
Celeb Watch: Drew Barrymore
Perfect for a girls’ night in—just curl up and gossip like there’s no tomorrow with these potent tipples.

Ok we are not all born with a figure like Heidi and as we get older it’s not easy to keep looking like Samantha. But whatever your shape Adisak Rojsiriphan, lifestyle consultant at Gaysorn Shopping Center, says there is a look to suit you.
Boyish Figure
Go for a masculine look and opt for a shirt and slack trousers. If you are flat-chested, a man’s shirt with pockets at the front is ideal as it gives added dimensions to your body. With narrow hips, opt for pants that have a lot of pleats along the waist. Forget flare trousers, as the top of the pants and the bottom will contrast too much. Wide-legged pants like your boyfriend’s jeans will work wonders, add a belt and you will look like you have hips.
Hourglass
Lucky you, you’ve got a very feminine shape. Go for an A-line skirt that sits on the lower hips or a low-rise flare trouser. Complete the look with killer heels. Heels are the best type of shoes as they instantly make you taller and appear 3-4kg thinner.
Super Tall
If you’ve got long perfect limbs like a model, thank God for them and make sure you flaunt them. But if you are very self-conscious about looking too bony then try an A-line skirt. Opt for one that falls below the knees as it shows less skin. Avoid long gypsy skirts because all people will see are miles and miles of cloth. Big patterns like stripes and flowery prints are also a good idea to camouflage the height.
Plus-Sized
This really depends on your confidence levels. But it’s best to show off your body. Because if you dress up in oversized clothes, it’s just going to look like a cloak over a fridge. Find tops that accentuate your neck, the deeper and the wider the neckline, the better. Never wear a turtleneck because you will end up looking all chunky.
Short Stumpy Legs
Reveal and expose more skin, show both legs and arms and your body will appear taller and longer. Try one of those cute little 60s dresses.
Here’s the list of simple beauty recipes so you can have a fun spa day without burning a hole in your wallet.
