(USA) This is a movie for the times. No doubt about that. Crisscrossing the country gobbling up airmiles and slumming it in plush—albeit cookie-cutter—business hotels in the name of firing people? Yup … sounds like the indulgent, tragic-comic and depressive noughties alright.
With this evocative, finger-on-the-pulse, stylish effort, director Jason Reitman of Juno fame has come up with a (yet another) surefire winner. And the accolades have been swimming in all through Hollywood awards season.
