As the TPL has reached the halfway stage we thought it was the perfect time to take a look at how the capital’s seven teams have been getting on and their hopes for the rest of the season. While the title looks to be a nailed on a formality for Buriram PEA, currently ten points clear of anyone else, second spot, and a place in the AFC Cup, as well as the two domestic cups are all well and truly up for grabs. In this first part we’ll look at how TOT, Army United, BEC Tero Sasana and Police United have done.
With the mid-season TPL break upon us Bangkok's clubs turn their attention to the Toyota League Cup first round this weekend. Not that there are many fixtures taking place in the capital. Still, an upset could be in the offing at Bangkok University, Rangsit as Bangkok United of Division 1 host struggling TPL opponents TOT (6pm). And Division 2 side Chamchuri United (whose manager just left for Thai Port) have a derby match against TPL big boys BEC Tero Sasana. The match starts at 6pm at the Chulalongkorn University Stadium.
