The buzz: Sawin Horma, owner The Face Aesthetic beauty clinic at the Bangkok Mediplex building, has expanded his beauty empire with this new all-in-one spa offering facial treatments, aromatherapy, Swedish and traditional Thai massage.     

 

The décor: Located on the second floor of the office-slash-mall building behind Central Rama 9, the spa is classily decked out in dark tones with a few Balinese influences for that relaxing ambience. All eight rooms come in shades of brown and black with metallic and gold touches. Six rooms are dedicated to facials and massages, while two are VIP suites complete with hydrobaths.   

 

The services: The lengthy list starts with basic tension-relief options like The High Back & Shoulder Relaxing Treatment (B1,300/60 mins) or The High Deep Tissue Treatment (B2,500/90 mins). The main massage menu spans traditional Thai massage (B1,300-1,600/90-120 mins), aromatherapy massage (B1,900-2,500/60-90 mins) and Swedish massage (B1,900-2,500/60-90 mins). There are also more specific treatments like the Jet Lag Massage (B1,900/60 mins), Brightening or Youthfulness Facial Treatment (B2,200/60 mins) and Slimming Treatment (B1,900/60 mins and B2,600 for 3D lipo option). For some real pampering, choose the classic menu sets, which involve a range of herbal appliances but all follow much the same process: body exfoliation, aromatherapy massage, and body wrap or bath treatment. We recommend The High Wine Lover (B3,800/120 mins), in which your body is scrubbed with grape extract and salt to remove dead skin, and then wrapped with grape extract before a 60-minute aromatherapy massage.
