Bangkok’s latest bookstore, Fathom Bookspace, actually wants you to hang around reading even when you’re not buying.

 

The shop doesn’t just sell books, it also houses a library of material to read in-house, which includes an impressive selection of horror novels and thrillers mostly in Thai, and a big space in which to enjoy them.

 

It also switches up its decor every two months and creates book exhibits to go with whatever the theme is (right now: “Traveling to home”).

 

Mingle and exchange ideas with fellow thinkers at the semi-regular workshops or consider joining the Fathom Bookclub for B200/year.

 

If you get thirsty, you can always order an organic tea, cocoa or beer.
