BANGKOK VENUE

522 Co-Working Space

A multi-purpose co-working space in a beautiful refurbished house.

The buzz: Having worked in events for over 10 years, Kampol “Arm” Kamphanthong says he understands the importance of a conducive workspace, not only for freelancers but also people in his industry. That’s why Arm and his partner have set up this multi-purpose co-working space in a beautiful refurbished house.

The décor: Located near the Crystal Design Centre, 522 sits in a once-abandoned building transformed into a two-story, loft-style workspace and café. The old structure remains, but the new interior combines whitewashed walls with lots of black steel, glass and modern, mostly designer furniture. A garden sits in the middle of the house, which makes the place look even more spacious and inviting.

The services & prices: The café zone is good if you’re by yourself or with a few friends, with rates starting from B150 for three hours or B250 a day. The other zones are all private rooms, suited for meetings or group work, starting with the bean bag room (capacity of four people, B400 per hour) up to a big room (up to 20 people, B700 per hour). As this part of Bangkok is a hub for TV production, 522 also offers casting rooms (empty room with mirror wall, B400 per hour), which can also be used for dancing classes. You can get a latte (hot or iced, B70), affogato (B80) or Italian soda (B50) delivered to your workspace, as well as simple dishes like pad kapow (stir-fried chicken with basil, B50) and daily specials.
