The city's independent and small publishers will converge on Sathorn next month for the first Bangkok Art Book Fair.

The event taking place on Sep 7-10 at Bangkok CityCity Gallery (13/3 Sathorn Soi 1) will feature 28 exhibitors from Bangkok inclding names like screenprint studio The Archivist, Japan-born design space FabCafe, design magazing Art4D and rising illustrators Tae Parvit x MM. x Bloody Hell Big Head.

Aside from art book launches, the event promises a series of talks and lectures, though the complete schedule is yet to be confirmed.

The event aims to give a platform for contemporary artists to gather and exchange their ideas, though given the relatively small scale of participants, we're expecting more emphasis on zines and prints than weighty tomes.

The activities start at 6pm on Sep 7 and run from 1-9pm on Sep 8-10. Admission is B60 per day.
